Lydia update

Lydia went to see our local vet today and we feel relieved: the eye is not an emergency situation. The vet recommended it be stitched over when Lydia is being spayed. Lydia continues to be extremely friendly and very inquisitive. Lydia has also gotten herself in the family way. We'll be nipping in the bud and Lydia will soon be available for adoption. She's a darling loving cat who has obviously faced something unpleasant in her recent life. Was she dumped? We'll never know (no chip, no collar, no owner coming forward). Please consider giving this beautiful lass a forever home!!! previous post on Lydia

Thanks to Ruth and Mireille for getting Lydia to the vet ... and to Diane for finding her! And to Amy for the fosterhome.

Thanks to everyone who donated to cover Lydia's visit to the vet today: Ginny L., Margaret B., and Joan P. Thanks to Veronica W. for her general donation, and to Ben G. for donating to baby Moses' care. Your donations keep us "in business."

Maybe Lydia has a lucrative future modelling floor tiles - she looks great on these ones. And with her beautiful coat, she could adorn lots of different patterns and color combinations.

Hehe, I know, she's a perfect match for my bathroom tiles, isn't she? With all this heat, it's been her favorite spot these past few days.

Lydia has been camping out at my place the past two weekends while her foster carer has been away and she's a darling. She's a very low maintenance cat - she likes eating and affection. She's very happy to curl up at your feet and hang out. This is one cool, calm and collected kitty. She's not very keen on playing but does like making her beautiful coat even more sleek and glossy by grooming herself. She has come on beautifully since Diane found her 3 weeks ago. Lovely long-limbed Lydia will make a great companion for some lucky person.
