Istria and Achilles

Istria with her fosterbrother Achilles. The two are getting along famously and fostermom Mireille does think Achilles is moving more and better now that he has a little sister to chase around.

Achilles has improved his mobility somewhat with the physical therapy and the chasing of the sisters (Martha is also at Mireille's romper room now). He needs a low litterbox and may not be able to manage stairs. But he gets himself on the couch, under the furniture, and definitely onto your lap. He will lie on his back in your lap for ... ever.

The slightly guilty look on both faces in the first picture is priceless. And Istria has such a pretty white ruffle around her neck. What a great foster arrangement for all 3!

I know this post is from a long time ago, but as Achilles and Istria's (now Eddie, since Istria turned out to be a boy who I thought needed more of a boy name!) mom, it makes me so happy to report that Achilles indeed *can* manage stairs now. His front legs have developed enough strength (and he has enough determination!) to allow him to pull himself up onto just about anything. He can definitely get up and down stairs, onto the bed, and even up onto chairs.

Eddie and Achilles also now have an older canine brother named Huey, who is trying his best to turn himself into a cat (he likes trying to do what they do, which includes trying to climb onto the top of the couch).

They now live in Virginia and are as happy as ever at 2.5 years old. Thank you, Hyde Park Cats, for helping to unite me with my boys. :)
