HPC at AWL

Some Animal Welfare League cats who we are partnering to adopt out: Shanah, Shofar, and Sepia. Oh and some people too. Ainat also could not resist "CTA cat" -- pix and story to come. Next we will have pix of all these cats in situ in their loving fosterhomes!

Thanks to James for his monthly support! Your donations go directly to our work helping homeless cats like these.

Thanks again for such a great day! I haven't stopped talking about how rewarding it was to friends and I think a few who live in Hyde Park are seriously considering joining HPC the next time you have a volunteer group to AWL. Please keep us posted on your next trip.

I'd love to go as well! As long as you go during the weekend, I should be able to make it.

PS: I don't want to post my email address here, but I am Achilles and Istria's mom.

Chelsea - thanks for adopting Achilles and Istria - please keep us posted on how they go and especially what happens with Achilles' legs.

Hi Ruth! They are both doing great. Istria is growing literally before my eyes, and I think Achilles' legs are getting stronger. I am bringing both boys to the vet tomorrow for a general check-up, and to discuss options for Achilles.

I am disinclined to pursue surgery, since he's not in pain (he actually seems to be just about the happiest kitty in the world) and there are always risks involved in surgery, but I will see what the vet has to say. He has figured out how to pull himself up onto just about whatever surface he wants to be on. It might be a struggle for him, but he ultimately succeeds!

I also understand that Treehouse has offered to provide a free consultation with an orthopedic specialist, so I might take him up there as well.

HI Chelsea
I agree with your thinking - and he has always seemed a happy little camper - just purrs at whatever appears before him (I introduced him to my ferret and that was his reaction.) Look forward to hearing more!
