Long-term Foster Week: Ilaria
Long-term foster week concludes with ILARIA.
Ilaria has been in fostercare with us since September, when she was found crouched in a pothole in the middle of the street. Every few days we have a little confab regarding our disbelief that Ilaria is still with us. She's had a couple different fosterparents (for internal scheduling reasons) and they all love her. She's snuggly and enjoys hugs, she's beautiful and fwuffy, she's playful and engaging and will make you laugh. Look thru the past pictures to see how adorable she is. Please scroll through this link for photos of this pretty girl. Here is a hilarious photo of Ilaria staring down some cauliflower. Check her out with some chutney. Ilaria is an active young cat, a bit of a scamp perhaps, but fostermoms report she's settled down some in the past couple months.
Ilaria's fostermoms are moving away from the area soon. We all want very much not to move her into another fosterhome. Apply to adopt this HPCats favorite -- and don't forget our tax-season rebate is going on throughout April.

Happy Thanksgiving
Ilaria is a very thankful kitty! She is thankful for:
But you know what she would be really thankful for ... A FOREVER HOME OF HER OWN.
This Thanksgiving, thank you to all the people who contribute to our project to help cats. Some of you help with donations of cat food; some of you cat-sit our foster cats; some of you cuddle cats at Animal Welfare League. Some of you send much-needed money. Some of you spend early mornings in your car full of cats on the way to and from the clinic. Some of you are out in the rain or snow trapping cats. Some of you spend countless hours organizing vet trips and adoption meetings. To every one of you who helps and cares, we thank you ... and the cats thank you.

Ilaria
The lyrical beauty of this little girl will move you. The vibrancy in her eyes, the expressiveness of her white-haired eyebrows and her handsome tuxedo markings. Playful Ilaria entertains herself for hours with little balls but especially loves it if you wave a wand about for her. Affectionate too, she loves to snuggle and will jump into your arms to give hugs and kisses when she's dying to be close to you. She spends parts of her days dreamily gazing out the window wondering who might be awaiting her arrival "home."

Ilaria
A great update on the cat found in a pothole, now Ilaria. She's living it up at fostermom Laura's home, where she enjoys watching Glee, being near people, relaxing on the couch after a long day of playing and lounging in bed whenever she's not, you know, watching TV or playing or napping on the couch. She is spayed, vaxed, tested, and ready to take over a new home.
Thanks to recent donors Michael R., Elizabeth G., and Marilee W. Purrrrrrrrrrrs.

Pothole

This gorgeous cat was found in a pothole on the street at University and 61st Street. A pothole! She was taken in by some folks who work at the Law School and brought to the vet. From there we were contacted and kitty is now in Laura's loving fosterhome. Laura and partner have named her Ilaria, and say "wherever the people are in the apartment, that is where Ilaria likes to be." Update in a few days. Thanks to Mary D. and Maureen C. who took the time to help this beautiful kitty find her way inside.
